| I'm alittle concerned.
I'm waiting on others to get this documentary moving. I HATE that. because you have to depend on others, and of course everything is at a stand still. *sighs* Well, I trust in God. (I know that sounds so "Christian" but more and more that is what I really am finding. God is faithful right when you figure how could He be?
I am enjoying my little break from school. I might take a semester off, shoot maybe even a year from school ! I know I know Root must be high. Well, I have found that I have pushed others away on my pursuit. That's not cool.

| So I finally got approved for the documentary, Welp, here we go....
Not to mention last night was BroomHockey. I love when new people come. Because afterwards I always ALWAYS ask them "did you have fun?" And it is almost always a resounding 'freaking a' and that makes me smile. On thursday, I sat down with Nate and he asked me " how can BroomHockey be better?" I spoke my mind: Have games that are 15 minutes. Keeps things moving, and everyone & there mom can play at least twice." I enjoyed it. I hope it worked out for others !

| So I sent in my plead to the dean: (this is a rough cut, don't mind the errors)
Febuary 13. 2005
Directing & Producing
3 –unit, 199 Study, Spring Semester, 2005
Proir to Grossmont College, I graduated from Poway High School, and then attended Miramar College the in the following fall semester of 2000. I got the bulk of my general education out of the way, but while attending there, I realized the ideal carrer for me was in Television and Film. Miramar College does not offer TV/Film as a degree, so my time there was done. I started attending Grossmont College in the fall 2003. I have some Media Communications course work at Grossmont College. Last summer, I did an internship through the school working for Ortiz Film Works. I also entered a 9 minute documentary into the Del Mar Fair that I had made in fall of 2003 (MCOM 120), winning 1st place. In the fall 2004 semester, MCOM 217 (Directing and Producing) was cancealled by the administration due to low enrollment. I was informed of this after I had signed up, by the teacher on my answer machine. I needed that class to graudate from Grossmont College with an AS in Media Communications. In desperation, I went to Evan C. Wirig, describing my delema and asking what I should do. Being the Department Chair, He agreed on a modifcation of major and then told me about an independent study that I could do in place of the class. After careful thought about this 3 –unit course, I propose a 30 minute documentary; written; directed; and produced by myself, in order to graduate. At first I was not sure what I should do, infact, I went out and took a survey of what people would want to see, I will spare you the details. My final choice came down to the true life story of people with disablities. I personally do not have any disablities that I know of, nor could I even began to imagine what life must be like for those who do have it. I’m assuming that I’m not the only one who doesn’t have a clue. My goal for this documentary is to show the ‘adverage’ person what life is like for those with disablilties. Their struggles and sucesses in everyday life. In order for me to complete this 3 –unit, semester long project in the spring of 2005, I would need to do the following: 1. Production Log - A log of behind the scenes of the process of making the documentary. 2. Shot Sheets - A log of that days shoot; number of cameras, camera angles. Lighting, etc. 3. Script - Hollywood Format. Narrative. As the documentary takes shape, the script will follow. 4. Bi-weekly evaluation of rushes – Evaluation of raw footage and interview clips as I aquire it. 5. Edit Decision List (EDL) – A log of shots from the raw footage and interview clips that acualtly made the cut. 6. Evaluation of sound – Cripst, clear sound. Music. Miced interviews. Sound F/X. 7. Presentation – A 30 minute documentary; complete with titles and on screen credit.
